Summer Workshop for Experimentation and Thought
SWEAT is an independent and non-profit collaborative workshop. Our goal is to develop projects that will provide the opportunity to collaborate, create compelling, poignant work and engage in summer fun.
During the 2007 intensive, four week workshop, eleven invited participants were introduced to the design objective: create a book in response to the question ’ÄúWhat is the graphic culture of Toledo?’Äù and through a combined effort, determined how the project was to be completed. The participants, without compensation or academic credit, attended the scheduled workshop sessions and upheld the roles and responsibilities they decided to take on. The contribution of their efforts represents a commitment to design, thought and the exchange of ideas.
